3/19 UPDATE: We just found out that we came in first for the K-12 division by raising more than $6,000 for this worthy cause. Look for more information about a possible presentation of a plaque to the school! 

Yesterday I walked, for the first time, in the 2007 Heart Run and Walk held in Utica, NY. Our school team, Poland for Ben, (Ben is a High School student), also ran in memory of our beloved first grade student, Alyssa Pomichter, who died suddenly of a heart ailment in January. 100 of us joined almost 8,000 people, most of whom have been affected one way or another by someone with heart problems. On Thursday, Alyssa's class, with parents, teachers and others, walked the Sangertown Mall. Click on the following link to see the clip from the local newstation, WKTV. What a profoundly moving experience that I hope to make an annual event for myself and my family.
